Continuing Education Credit Hour Information
The Institute for Solution-Focused Therapy offers continuing education hours/credits for the following professions. The final authority for approving any continuing education activity rests with the state or province where the participant is licensed. Please contact your individual licensing boards to review continuing education requirements for licensure renewal.
Psychologist
The Institute for Solution-Focused Therapy, LLC is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Institute for Solution-Focused Therapy, LLC maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Continuing Education (CE) hours are available; see individual course descriptions for the specific number of CE hours available.
The Institute for Solution-focused Therapy, LLC is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Psychology as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed psychologists #PSY-0127.
Counselors
The Institute for Solution-Focused Therapy, LLC has been approved by NBCC (The National Board for Certified Counselors) as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7049. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. The Institute for Solution-Focused Therapy, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. The Institute for Solution-Focused Therapy, LLC has been approved by the Florida Board Of Clinical Social Work, Marriage And Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling as an educational provider of continuing education.
The Institute for Solution-Focused Therapy, LLC has been approved by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board as an educational provider of continuing education.
The Institute for Solution-Focused Therapy, LLC has been approved by the New York State Education’s Department StateBoard of Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed mental health counselors. #MHC-0233.
Social Work
The Institute for Solution-Focused Therapy, LLC, provider #1831, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. The Institute for Solution-Focused Therapy, LLC maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 9/22/2023 – 9/22/2026.
ASWB’s ACE approval covers only continuing education courses and materials and does not extend to licensure examination preparation courses and materials. Licensure preparation program and materials associated with it were not included in the Association of Social Work Boards’ Approved Continuing Education (ACE) review and are not approved by ASWB for continuing education nor endorsed by ASWB in any manner.
